the elder passed on his vision to the people and now many indian people hang a dream catcher above their bed to sift their dreams and visions

back in august i drove to san diego with two wonderful ladies

and we went to pacific beach in san diego oh sunny days

last saturday i celebrated my weekend in san diego with a visit

to pacific beach and then i thought it was funny that i started and

ended my san diego time with pacific beach oh good times

now it is only four san diego days left then hollywoodland is calling

this thursday, the danish national women's team will fly to sweden to participate in deaf futsal (indoor soccer) world championship along many other countries. 10 ladies will try and play their best to bring home a gold medal and make new history. i'm crossing my fingers for them. futsal can be full of surprise, it is important to stay focused, stay strong, stay positive and keep on fighting until the game is over. so keep on fighting, ladies and make us all proud.

yup, sometimes it feels like i'm actually living in mexico. not california.
southern california is pretty a lot like mexico (but hm i haven't been there, so can't really compare it but...) .
the people, the language (of course there are english as primary language but lots of spanish spanish), the food and so on.
every day on my way to internship, i'm driving in bus + trolley that is often filled with hispanic people. i remmy when back in gallaudet, i would be in bus from h street that is filled with black people. and in copenhagen, it would be often white plus muslim people.
i really enjoy this experience. so different. good experience.
there are lots of mexican fast food shops here in southern california. and hey, i'm not big fan of mexican food. lol. damn.

and hey, there are lots of homeless people in sd too. every time i go downtown, i see a homeless here and there. such a big difference than in copenhagen.
there are also many weird or strange people. u can see they're on drugs. hey, cali has medical marihuana now. means it's not against law.

copenhagen is pretty CLEAN, beautiful, fantastic public transport etc. it's huge contrast to here. but ofc san diego has its beautifulness too. the beaches, balboa park etc.

well, here u can buy converse all stars for 45 dollars. ha! that means umm 240 KRONER! imagiiiiiiine. heh.

mandible fracture.

yep, got in an accident. hit something on bike lanes. bad bike lanes here. fell off my bike. broke my left jaw. but should not be too seriously. it is not hanging loose. ha. doctor says could heal up within few weeks.
got 2 CT scans. no damage in the head. and then this left side mandible fracture.
got a laceration behind my neck and mouth. (under hagen). 3-4 stitches.
luckily a couple saw me fall and called ambulance. so i've been at grossmont hospital since 8pm / 13th september till now and am still waiting for my surgeon to arrive and talk about operation.
ll be my first time operation ever.

i am at room 213 at grossmont hospital if u guys wanna come by and say hello. ha.

but i really had such fun yesterday @ san diego for my bday blast.
we were a few people but still had an awesome time together.

today no party cos no ride back from downtown to my casa in lemon grove.

the sunny weather, the wonderful atmosphere, the beaches, the surf lifestyle, the la la land, microwavish riverside and my "hometown" san diego!

the flight trips from copenhagen to los angeles were awful. i got a cold. but luckily no sore throat and the cold went away very quickly because of the amazing sunny weather in cali, cali, california.

day 1 - hanging out with holly & evan @ huntington beach.
huntington beach is a really lovely surf town. wonderful beach, wonderful atmosphere and wonderful surf shops! *fkin cheap cos of $$ but fkin awesome surf clothes, lets say billabong, hurley, roxy, volcom, quiksilver and many more* loveliess.
we drove to laguna beach and to the 1000 steps. walking around the beach and the cliffs. hm. i fell. and got some bruises on arm and leg. but my camera survived. that is important. lol.
visited a deaf pro surfer, darcy's family in HB and then party in huntington beach. lots of very amerikanish dancing (marie & sofie, you both may know what i'm talking about). laughed hard.

day 2 - summer inferno @ huntington beach. met more deafies. got an awesome mango smoothie @ jamba juice. tastes like heaven. bbq at a deafie in HB with miriam, fadi & others. then dphh in HB and off to rialto.

day 3 - rialto is a town not that far away from riverside. also microwavish weather. but lovelies. i'm danish and i hate rainy weather. so sunshine everyday is like christmas everyday for me. wonderful.
off to sapphire waterfalls - hiking, walking over rivers to a waterfall with miriam & chad n his brother. wonderful experience. wonderful day. ate the infamous chipotle burrito in riverside.

day 4 - oh la la land! off to the city of angeles. took train from rialto to la. bsbsbs'iiing around with korn & anna. wonderful day. ate the infamous in/out burger. walking on the walk of fame. got inspired with what to wear for halloween after visitin a huge huge halloween shop in la. awesome. i'll be a vampire. what else? 3 times bar/club that evening @ west hollywood. wonderfuuuuul. awesome moijto for only 5 dollars. the best ever. nadja and kristine would love this one for sure.

day 5 - my hangover? tiredness and brain out of function. tried to get to beverly hills but ended up @ beverly center mall cos i was too lazy. gave up. got a ride to venice beach with anna. gonna go back there someday. oh venice! muscle boys, basketball boys, tourist boys and yeah everybody's there. half dead at the end of the day. early sleeping.

day 6 - off to la la downtown. bsbsbs'iing around. pico. santee alley. little tokyo. arts district. street arts + graffitis. american apparel warehouse outlet. jenga @ anna's casa. fire + wine @ nick/bob. wonderfuuul.

day 7 - bbq @ nick/bob. swimming pool. vodka + cranberry or coke. off to riverside with korn 'n' anna. awful mango margarita and a shot of grand marnier sumthin.
i.cant.stand.tequila.ever.and.never.will. and then off to a gay club with draq queen shows. awesome. another glasses of vodka.

day 8 - sightseeing @ riverside school for the deaf. off to san diego with erica and jessica. partyiiiin in san diego @ jim's place. cute puppy dog named babe. seriously cute. wonderfuuul evening. meeting deafies. another glasses of vodka. what ever.

day 9 - san diegooooooo in a new way. beaches! once visited san diego during xmas 2007 but this time it's august 2011. and what does it mean? beach time! pacific beach. wonderfuuul. us 3 girls havin a nap @ car. off to a hotel meeting two justin's. then hot tub in solana beach. too hot water. hello heineken. something new than vodka.

day 10 - 3 beaches. pacific beach, mission beach, ocean beach.
i.seriously.love.beaches.and.california.... off to parking lot for drinking. guess what? ofc vodka baby. tasted awesome mahi mahi fish taco. marie you would love this one. chilling + drinking @ jim's place. 3 slices of oily pizza.

day 11 - off to riverside in the morning. off to the microwavish weather. bsbsbs'iing @ target getting a mobile and some stuff. and finally spending more than 10 minutes on a laptop. finally. finally but i do miss being outside and doing things. i get restless staying in a room for a long period. will leave to san diego again tmw and then moving in @ the couple on thursday. and having a bday blast this friday! i'll be something 26ish this saturday... time for more wrinkles....

in amsterdam, i went to a bookstore one day and found this magazine "very nearly almost" which had shepard fairey / obey on its cover.
i bought the magazine home cos i have a thing for street art.
then i saw on facebook that the man himself, shepard fairey is in copenhagen to do his art in several place in cph.
i was like "wtf" and that i have to go and take a look at his work and probably get to meet him as well.

i saw his work, saw him working on them, saw him having a discussion with some youth rebels from the old ungdomshuset because they didn't like that he's doing an art on their former ground. whatever. it didn't help at all as his work @ jagtvej 69 got hit twice by vandalism. seriously...

i saw his work @ jagtvej, @ nygårdsvej, @ superkilen, @ krinsen, @ dybbølsbro station + went to his exhibition "your ad here" @ v1 gallery.
nice, nice, nice and i got his autograph & some stickers too! awesome...

it's okay to act like a child when i met one of my favourite street artists.
i was pretty nervous when i asked him for his autograph while he was doing his work @ dybbølsbro station yesterday.
but he was really nice and wrote his autograph in the magazine that i bought in amsterdam.
